- 1/2 tsps pepper
- 3/4 lb chicken breast halves
- 1/2 lb chicken drumsticks
- 1/2 lb chicken thighs
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 3 tbsps dates
- 1/2 cups wine
- 1/2 cups less-sodium chicken broth
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 2 large garlic cloves
- 3 tbsps golden raisins
- 1/2 tsps ground cardamom
- 1/2 tsps ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsps ground pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cups onion
- 1/2 tsps salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 35
- Sprinkle chicken with salt and black pepper.
- Heat oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken; cook 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Remove the chicken from pan.
- Add the onion to pan; reduce heat to medium-low, and cook for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add the ginger and next 5 ingredients (ginger through garlic); cook for 1 minute. Stir in chicken, broth, and the remaining ingredients, and bring to a boil. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour.
