12 ingredients

  1. 3 tbsps canola oil
  2. 3 tsps chicken
  3. 2 lb top round steak
  4. 10 large pieces garlic
  5. 3 tsps granulated sugar
  6. 2 limes
  7. 2 onions
  8. 12 servings bell pepper
  9. 2 heads red leaf lettuce
  10. 6 roma tomatoes
  11. 12 servings salt
  12. 12 servings water

Instructions

  1. Heat canola oil in a large deep skillet, when hot add garlic and saute until garlic is light brown, remove 's and put it in a 2-3 cup bowl and set aside.
  2. Add beef to skillet sprinkle with chicken bullion and sugar. If using three pounds of meat add tsp more of each.
  3. Cook meat until half way cooked, add sliced onions and continue cooking until meat is done and onions are tender.
  4. While meat is cooking arrange lettuce on serving trays. Read post to see how this is to be done. I usually have someone else do this while I am cooking or prepare them before I start the cooking process. If you prefer you can serve everything in separate dishes instead of building serving trays.
  5. When meat and onions are done, transfer them onto the serving trays as pictures or put them in a serving bowl. Use tongs or a slotted spoon being careful to leave the juices in the skillet.
  6. Quickly work to make the sauce. Depending on how much juices are left in the pan you need to add cup to 1 cup of water to the juices. I usually taste it and see how strong it is. If using three pounds of meat you will most likely need to add a full 1 cup, or even a little more.
  7. Taste the juices and add water, heat till bubbling.
  8. Pour into the bowl that has the reserved browned garlic. Squeeze lime juice and add salt and pepper to taste. I usually add about tsp pepper, tsp salt and a tbsp or so of lime juice. Start with a tsp or so and keep adding until it meets your lime preference.
  9. You can also serve lime wedges for people to add more lime if they would like.
  10. These are meant to be eaten with Jasmine Rice, but regular rice will work well too. The sauce taste amazing drizzled on the lettuce wraps as well as plain rice on the side.
  11. This is a special meal that people will rave about when you cook it for them!
